Fun Family Activities To Do This July 4th

Looking for some fun, and fresh ideas for some family time in the sun this summer? We’ve got you covered with our top 5 quality time activity suggestions. These activities are great for a normal summer day and perfect for some good ole Fourth of July fun!

1. Tie-Dye!

Use some old white clothing or head to a shop to grab a couple of white shirts, pants, socks, you name it! This is a great activity to keep the kids engaged, get matching family gear, and make some cool new clothes! Probably best to keep it outside, as things can get a little messy!

2. Take a Baking Class

This is a great idea to invite a new hobby into the family, and make some tasty treats that you’ll more than likely be able to take home. A great way to bond, have fun, and pick up a new skill!

3. Have a Picnic in the Park

Bring out the picnic blanket/basket, get some good snacks from your local grocery store, and a favorite book! This is a great activity for the youngsters, especially if you bring a soccer ball or frisbee if you’re a particularly sporty family. A great place to spend the day with a variety of activities to choose from (don’t forget to bring the dog, too!) If you’re feeling extra ambitious, maybe bike or walk to the park instead of driving!

4. Set Off Fireworks!

Feeling more of a nighttime adventure? Grab some sparklers and get ready to light up the night sky. This is a great activity to celebrate a birthday, graduation, or simply the 4th of July! Be sure to make sure the parents handle the fireworks if you kiddos are young!

5. Board Game Night

Nothing brings out the chuckles and competitive nature like a board game. After dinner, set up your favorite board game in the living room and - game on! Not big on board games? Maybe try a group game app on your phone or use a deck of cards!
