Monthly RV Rates near Galveston: What a Winter on the Bolivar Peninsula Costs

Monthly RV Rates near Galveston: 2026–27 Winter Guide

A monthly RV site on the Bolivar Peninsula, just across the bay from Galveston, costs anywhere from about $500 a month at a basic park to $1,000 or more at a full resort. The real difference is what's included, and how you plan to spend your days.

This guide breaks down what drives the price, what to ask before you book, and what our 2026–27 Winter Texan rates include. New to the area? Start with our Winter Texan's guide to Galveston and the Bolivar Peninsula.

What drives the price

Utilities. Some parks include electric, water, sewer and trash. Others meter electric separately. On a cold-front night with the heat running, that difference adds up.

Amenities. Heated pools, hot tubs, a fitness center, laundry, an on-site restaurant and an activity calendar all cost money to run. If you'll use them every week, they're part of what you're paying for.

Site type and location. Pull-through, lakefront and big-rig sites typically cost more than standard back-in sites.

Length of stay. Monthly rates are far lower per night than nightly rates, and staying the full season gives you the best choice of sites.

Is electric included? Ask this first, every time. Parks handle electricity three ways:

  • Included. Your monthly rate is the whole bill.
  • Metered. You pay the park for what you use, at its per-kilowatt-hour rate.
  • Included up to a cap. You pay extra only above a set amount.

A lower rate with metered electric can cost more than a higher all-inclusive rate, especially for larger rigs. Ask for the per-kWh rate and what a typical winter month costs for a rig like yours.

Other costs to ask about

  • Deposits and cancellation terms
  • Extra guests, pets or vehicles
  • Taxes and fees not shown in the advertised rate
  • Beach permits for driving a vehicle or golf cart on the sand
  • Golf cart rental, if you want one for the season
  • Mail and package handling
  • Monthly vs. weekly vs. nightly rates

How to get the most for your money

Book early. Eligible monthly sites are limited, and returning guests reserve first.

Stay the season. Longer stays give you the widest choice of sites and dates.

Compare total cost. Add utilities, fees and permits to every quote before deciding.

Use what's included. The pool, gym, activities and dining discount are part of the value; factor them into the comparison.
