Join our vibrant resort team as a Retail Associate! This dynamic role combines customer service with food and retail operations, where you’ll be responsible for serving refreshing ice cream treats and assisting guests with retail purchases at our brand new “Dreamsicle Sugar Shop”. As part of our friendly and professional team, you will contribute to creating memorable experiences for resort guests by offering exceptional service and fostering a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Ice Cream Service
- Serve guests with delicious ice cream, frozen treats, and candy in a timely and friendly manner, ensuring high-quality portions and presentation.
- Prepare a variety of ice cream desserts, including sundaes, cones, cups, and milkshakes, while offering personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Keep the ice cream station clean and organized, ensuring all equipment and supplies are well-stocked, sanitized, and ready for use.
- Maintain an efficient and clean serving area, following all food handling and safety protocols to meet health department standards.
- Handle customer payments accurately, using the resort’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Assist with the daily cleaning and restocking of ice cream supplies, including toppings, cones, and cups, ensuring the ice cream station remains appealing and fully stocked throughout the day.
Retail Shop Assistance:
- Greet and assist resort guests with friendly, attentive service as they browse the retail store, offering suggestions and information about merchandise.
- Operate the POS system for both ice cream and retail purchases, ensuring accurate transactions for guests’ convenience.
- Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing retail space, ensuring all products such as souvenirs, snacks, resort apparel, and gifts are attractively displayed.
- Monitor inventory and assist with restocking, ensuring popular items are available and that displays are neat and easy to navigate for guests.
- Promote the sale of resort-branded products and exclusive merchandise, enhancing the guest experience.
- Provide support during peak hours or special events by assisting with crowd control and ensuring smooth operations.
Customer Service:
- Create a memorable and positive experience for resort guests, consistently delivering excellent customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Address guest inquiries, provide information on resort amenities and offerings, and resolve customer concerns promptly and courteously.
- Work collaboratively with other resort departments to ensure a seamless guest experience, contributing to a positive and welcoming resort atmosphere.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the ice cream and retail areas, ensuring all areas are safe and welcoming for guests.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, food service, or retail is preferred.
- Enthusiastic and friendly attitude with a passion for providing exceptional service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a resort setting.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of basic POS system operation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Must adhere to food safety standards and resort policies.
- Ability to get TABC certified.
