What is Autism Double-Checked?

Unlike general hospitality training, Autism Double-Checked provides job-specific training to help our team members handle real, everyday situations with confidence and care. This web-based program is designed to give employees the tools and knowledge necessary to create a welcoming environment for guests on the autism spectrum. Every team member at our certified properties is required to complete these specialized courses, ensuring that we are not just meeting expectations but exceeding them.

For a property to achieve Autism Double-Checked certification, it must meet the following requirements:

• More than 75% of the team must complete ADC’s certification programs.
• The property must submit a property-specific visitor guide to be hosted on the ADC website.
• The leadership team must continuously maintain the ADC portal to ensure ongoing education and compliance.

With these key components in place, Margaritaville Hotels & Resorts is setting a new standard for autism-friendly hospitality.

Recognizing Our Team Members with Specialty ADC Pins

In April, as part of our Autism Awareness Month initiatives, we will be sending specialty-branded ADC Pins to all certified properties. These pins will be awarded to team members who have completed their Autism Double-Checked training, allowing them to proudly display their commitment to inclusion on their lanyards.

These pins serve as a symbol of support, awareness, and preparation—letting our guests know that our staff is knowledgeable and ready to assist families traveling with autism. In addition to team member pins, each certified property will receive ADC window stickers to proudly display at entrances, reaffirming to guests that Margaritaville is a trusted, autism-friendly destination.
