Full Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic plays a vital role in delivering the Margaritaville experience by ensuring all resort equipment, facilities, and grounds operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position supports a guest-ready environment through proactive maintenance, timely repairs, and attention to detail—keeping the resort running smoothly behind the scenes while guests relax and unwind.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on resort equipment, buildings, and systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues as needed
- Maintain RV sites, utilities, infrastructure, and common areas to Margaritaville standards
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize guest impact
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report major repair needs
- Collaborate with resort operations teams to support special events and seasonal needs
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize tasks, and work independently
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality
- Valid driver’s license required
- HVAC, electrical, or other trade certifications a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
Schedule
- This position requires flexibility in scheduling based on the needs of the resort.
- Team members may be scheduled to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons or special events.
- Team members may also be called into work outside of their regular schedule to respond to urgent maintenance issues, guest needs, or other operational requirements.
