This Labor Day Weekend, Margaritaville invites you to celebrate the life and legacy of Jimmy Buffett in the most meaningful way we know, by spreading joy, building community, and giving back. Whether it's a Random Act of Margaritaville, a shared smile, or a moment of kindness, we're honoring the man who inspired us all to live life with purpose and positivity.

Jimmy was more than a musician, he was a storyteller, a philanthropist, and a champion of connection. He believed in lifting others up and making the world a little better, one good deed at a time. Jimmy Buffett Day continues that legacy, supporting causes close to his heart like Singing for Change and other grassroots organizations.

From August 29 through September 2, 2025, Margaritaville properties around the world will unite in service-hosting beach cleanups, food drives, benefit concerts, and more. It's a global celebration rooted in local impact, powered by the same spirit Jimmy lived by: be present, spread joy, and quietly make noise for the people and places that matter most.

Keep the Party Going at Our Hotels and Resorts

Many Margaritaville Hotels and Resorts are offering Keep the Party Going packages, which include a $5 nightly donation to a local charity and two exclusive commemorative cups. These packages are available for stays through September 25, 2025.

Sip for a Cause: The Commemorative Cup Program

From August 29 through September 5, participating Margaritaville restaurants and bars will serve up specialty drinks in limited-edition Jimmy Buffett Day cups. For every cup sold, $1 will be donated to a local charity or Singing for Change.

Starting August 15, fans can shop an exclusive collection of Jimmy Buffett Day merch at the Margaritaville Store - featuring t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, drinkware, and more. Every item is a tribute to Jimmy's timeless spirit, with proceeds supporting ongoing charitable commitments that help keep his legacy alive.

Tune In: Songlines & Stories on Radio Margaritaville

As part of the celebration, Radio Margaritaville (SiriusXM Channel 24) will re-air a special Songlines & Stories segment featuring Mac McAnally and Kenny Chesney as they share personal memories and songwriting stories about their dear friend, Jimmy.

Radio Margaritaville host JD will also be broadcasting live from the Margaritaville Restaurant in Key West from 5-8 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, bringing the energy and connection of the island straight to the airwaves.

Radio Margaritaville is free to stream online at RadioMargaritaville.com, so no subscription is needed to join the celebration.

These are the experiences guests can enjoy while supporting great causes:

• Camp Margaritaville Auburndale - jam-packed weekend of island-inspired fun from family-friendly activities and themed events to live entertainment and ways to give back. Guests can partake in an onsite blood drive benefitting, OneBlood or make donations to kidsPACK, a local nonprofit working to end weekend hunger for children in the community.
• Compass Hotel Flagler Beach - Join us on August 29 at 9 AM at Veteran's Park for a beach clean-up in support of the Flagler Sea Turtle Patrol, a local nonprofit dedicated to protecting sea turtles and preserving coastal habitats. It's a meaningful way to give back while honoring Jimmy Buffett's legacy of caring for the world around us.
• Compass Hotel Naples - Live entertainment and festive activities with $5/night donation to My Autism Connection.
• Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach - Join the Carnival of Fun on Friday, August 29, featuring games, crafts, sensory-friendly activities, and special guest Madison Marilla from Love on the Spectrum. The event supports My Autism Connection (MAC), a local nonprofit empowering autistic adults. Enjoy drink specials all weekend long served in commemorative cups, with $1 from each drink benefiting MAC, plus live music and entertainment throughout the holiday.
• Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe - Join us August 29-31 for a weekend-long celebration of Jimmy Buffett's legacy with live music, fireworks, themed drinks, exclusive merch, and more. Proceeds from select packages and items will benefit The Jazz Connection, supporting free music education for youth in North Houston.
• Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort - The weekend kicks off with a free Beach Bash Concert at the Hollywood Beach Bandshell on August 29, featuring Adventures in Parrotdise Band, interactive games, and a blender bike competition. Throughout the weekend, enjoy live entertainment, themed décor, family-friendly activities, and special promotions like the Cocktail for a Cause and Keep the Party Going room package, with proceeds benefiting Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. Team members will also participate in a beach clean-up and host a special Beach Bash at the hospital to bring the good vibes to the kids.
• Margaritaville Hotel Jacksonville Beach - Join us on August 29 for a beach clean-up just north of the Jacksonville Beach Pier as we support The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund and honor Jimmy Buffett's legacy of giving back. The celebration continues all week long with themed events including bingo, trivia, karaoke, and live music - all designed to get you into the Margaritaville state of mind.
• Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter - Enjoy our rooftop benefit concert on Friday, August 29, from 4-8 PM. Guests can expect live music, a travel-inspired silent auction, and island vibes, all while supporting the San Diego Music Foundation. A portion of all food and beverage proceeds will be donated to help enrich the local music community through education, performance, and artist recognition.
• Margaritaville Resort Orlando - Friday, August 29 from 5-7 PM in the Grand Lobby enjoy free margaritas and mini cheeseburgers for the first 500 registered guests, plus live music, spa experiences, family activities, and giveaways, all in support of Give Kids the World Village and Singing for Change.
• Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe - Friday, August 29 from 9-11 AM by joining our team and Keep Tahoe Blue for a local clean-up effort to help protect the environmental health and scenic beauty of Lake Tahoe. Then, enjoy LandShark Live with music, lawn games, and ice-cold drinks on the front lawn. Book our Keep the Party Going package to support Keep Tahoe Blue and help preserve the lake's iconic blue waters for generations to come.
• Island Reserve Riviera Cancun & Riviera Maya - Join us August 29 for Jimmy Buffett Day of Service as we support DIF Puerto Morelos, helping local families in need. Guests can donate school supplies and personal care items during their stay-or give from anywhere via our Amazon Wishlist. Let's give back, island-style!
• Margaritaville Beach Cottage Resort Panama City Beach - Join our Fins Up for First Responders celebration, supporting United Way of Northwest Florida and their disaster relief efforts. From August 29-31, guests can enjoy live music, family-friendly activities, and special promotions, all while giving back. Highlights include a Feed the First Responders breakfast for 100 local heroes, a Stuff the Margaritaville Van donation drive, CPR training sessions, and Cocktail for a Cause specials. A portion of proceeds from food, drinks, and lodging will benefit families in need across the region. Join us for a weekend of fun, gratitude, and community spirit.

How You Can Get Involved

You don't have to stay at a Margaritaville resort to participate in the Day of Service. We encourage everyone to find a way to make a difference through ‘Random Acts of Margaritaville'. Random Acts of Margaritaville can be as simple as holding the door open for someone, smiling at a stranger, or picking up a piece of litter on your walk. It doesn't have to be a grand gesture, just something that makes the world a little brighter, a little kinder, and a little more laid-back.

Here are a few ways you can make waves from wherever you are:

• Buy a coffee for the person behind you in line
• Write a thank-you note to a teacher, healthcare worker, or local hero
• Donate gently used clothes or books to a local shelter or library
• Call a friend or family member just to say hi and check in
• Leave a kind note on someone's windshield or desk

• Support a local musician or artist by sharing their work, attending a show, or leaving a tip in their jar
