Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City Brings Back Its Frosted Holiday Experiences
Celebrate the season with cozy Frosted Cabanas, festive dining and under-the-sea holiday fun at The Frosted Reef, beginning November 27.

Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City is bringing back its tropical twist to the holiday season with the return of two festive experiences opening on Friday, Nov. 27. The Frosted Cabanas will transform the hotel's poolside cabanas into private heated winter retreats, while The Frosted Reef returns to LandShark Bar & Grill with an under-the-sea-inspired holiday atmosphere, seasonal cocktails and festive dining. New this year, The Frosted Reef will welcome guests of all ages with no admission fee or time limit on reservations.
The Frosted Cabanas feature unique themes, lounge seating, blankets, a heater, board games, a TV, and Bluetooth speaker. Guests can gather with up to 10 people in a private space, featuring a curated holiday food and drink menu. Island-inspired bites include Tropical Bruschette (whipped goat cheese, kiwi, mango, honey-lime glaze), Big Kahuna Sliders (bacon jam, candied hot peppers), Shrimp Dip (cream cheese, pepper jack, green onions, garlic) and more. For dessert, guests can enjoy a S’mores Dip (house-made graham crackers, chocolate ganache, toasted marshmallows, fresh strawberries).
Cocktails include Santa’s Rum Punch (rum, fireball whiskey, pineapple, orange, lime), Blackbeard’s Brew (espresso martini with La Colombe Cold Brew Coffee), Dark Tide (warm cabernet sauvignon infused with spices and citrus), and many more. Mocktails include Mistletoe Mule (cranberry, lime, ginger beer), and Snowfall Refresher (Seedlip Garden 108 Nonalcoholic Spirit, mint, lime, club soda).
Cabanas are available Wednesday through Sunday and accommodate up to 10 guests. Pricing is $200 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and $250 on Fridays and Saturdays. Reservations are available here.

The Frosted Reef brings an under-the-sea holiday experience to the first level of LandShark Bar & Grill. Guests enjoy nautical-inspired holiday decor, tropical lights, seasonal cocktails, and festive dining. This year’s experience will offer free admission, no time limits on reservations, and a family-friendly atmosphere for guests of all ages.
The seasonal dining experience features LandShark Bar & Grill favorites alongside a specially curated holiday menu. Featured dishes include Tequila-Lime Chicken Wings (tequila-lime glaze, dusted with Tajín), Tempura Gulf Shrimp (mango teriyaki glaze, pineapple chili chutney), Fig & Goat Cheese Flatbread (white truffle creme, fresh figs, whipped goat cheese, baby arugula), and more.
Holiday cocktails include Seasick Crocodile (melon and banana liqueurs, coconut rum and tropical juices), Blackbeard's Brew (espresso martini with vodka, Kahlúa and La Colombe Cold Brew), and Dark Tide (warm Cabernet Sauvignon infused with spices and citrus), and many more. The Mistletoe Mule and Snowfall Refresher mocktails will also be available.
The Frosted Reef will be open Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m. Reservations and walk-ins are welcome. There is no set group size limit, although parties of more than six are encouraged to contact LandShark Bar & Grill in advance.
