Celebrate the holidays in Pigeon Forge at Winterfest at The Island, a tradition with over a million lights and a mile of garland that runs throughout the Christmas season. The nightly shows feature a dazzling fountain show choreographed with 40 foot LED Christmas trees. Santa’s Toy Shop is on-site, as is Santa who poses for photos at scheduled times when he’s not too busy overseeing all the gifts that need to be made.

Pigeon Forge’s Winterfest takes place at The Island, a 23-acre theme park that turns on the lights at night to celebrate the holidays. It’s just steps away from Margaritaville Island Inn, so guests can stroll to Winterfest without ever getting in their car. How Long Does Winterfest Last in Pigeon Forge?
From late November to early January, enjoy Winterfest by walking amidst thousands of holiday lights at The Island. The Winterfest at The Island Show takes place every evening at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m.
Beyond The Island, don’t miss the Pigeon Forge Driving Tour of Lights. Drive along the Pigeon Forge Parkway to see more than 5 million lights along the road. The lights go up in late November and stay up until late February. Dollywood in Pigeon Forge is also known for its exceptional holiday light displays and holiday shows. Down the road, Gatlinburg also celebrates the season with lights and its annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks Show. Head downtown to the Gatlinburg Space Needle around 9 p.m. Dec. 31 for live music followed by the ball drop and a fantastic fireworks show.
