NEW for 2026: Autumn’s GLOW
September 21–November 15, 2026

Watch the Island Show Fountain come alive with Autumn’s GLOW: A Symphony of Light, featuring a seasonal soundtrack and illuminated floating maple leaves. The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel joins the celebration with harvest-inspired light shows, while fall décor, photo ops, seasonal shopping and live entertainment fill The Island.

Take a sunset or evening Wheel ride for a bird’s-eye view, or grab a perch at the rooftop Chill Bar and watch Autumn’s GLOW light up The Island below.

Fall Drives in the Smokies

Newfound Gap Road
Climb from Gatlinburg to Newfound Gap at 5,046 feet, with scenic overlooks and changing fall color along the way. While open, continue toward Kuwohi, the highest point in the park.

Cades Cove Loop Road
This 11-mile loop combines mountain scenery, historic cabins and churches, wildlife and beautiful fall color. Go early during busy October weekends.

Foothills Parkway
Enjoy panoramic views across layers of colorful Smoky Mountain ridges around Wears Valley, Walland and Look Rock.

Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail
This 5.5-mile loop near Gatlinburg winds through colorful forest, mountain streams and historic homesteads.

Little River Road
Follow the river between Gatlinburg and Townsend for wooded fall scenery, rushing water and access to scenic stops along the way.
