What type of payments are accepted at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands?
Margaritaville Lanier Islands is a cashless facility. We accept card payments only using a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or a debit card at all locations, including admission gates, retail stores, and food & beverage outlets.
If you only have cash, you can convert it to a prepaid debit card at one of the reverse ATM kiosks at LandShark Landing and the Water Park's Lower Gate wave pool entrance. Please, click here if you would like to learn more about our accepted forms of payment.
What is the gate fee to enter Lanier Islands Resort?
Lanier Islands Resort charges a $20.00 daily gate and parking fee for every vehicle that visits the resort. Resort access/parking is included with our summer and winter season passes and our combo passes.
Is Snow Island near Atlanta?

What's the best way to dress for a visit to License to Chill Snow Island?
The Thrills and Chills are here! We also have real snow, so you are sure to feel a little cool and wet. Be sure to dress warm during your visit, as all attractions are located outdoors. You might want to consider wearing water resistant clothes including gloves and boots.
Is your park handicap accessible?
We have handicap parking available in all of our parking lots. Please note, most attractions require the use of stairs.

What is your cashless policy?

Do you have a public phone?
We do not have any public telephones available for use.
Do you have a first aid station?
Yes. First Aid is located next to Paradise Beach between Splash Down and Racing Waters attractions. It is staffed during park hours with a certified EMT.
How do I find out if the park is closing?
You may call our Guest Relations team at (470) 323-3440 any date that operations may be affected by weather. You may also keep an eye out on our social media platforms, as we post every time we close.
Do you have wireless internet access inside the park?
Wireless internet access is available in most areas of the park. Please use the IslandsGuest network.
What happens if there is bad weather on the day of my visit?
Is it advised that you check the local forecast before your visit.
Providing a safe environment during your visit is our primary concern. Due to the unpredictable nature of the weather and its effect on park safety operations, Margaritaville at Lanier Islands has provided the following policy. For Guest safety and the effectiveness of our lifeguard staff, we may suspend ride operations due to heavy rain or severe weather conditions. Ride operations will resume as soon as the weather clears and conditions are safe. If ride operations are suspended for more than one continuous hour due to weather, a complimentary ticket will be issued to guests who have a receipt for today’s admission and are exiting the park for the day.
To receive a complimentary ticket, please present your wristband and receipt or online proof of purchase to the admission gate located at the entrance as you exit the park. Season Pass, Complimentary & 3rd Party Tickets are not eligible to receive a complimentary ticket. Rain checks may not be issued after ride operations have resumed.
Can I bring a cooler?
No, coolers or insulated bags are permitted in the park unless for specific baby, allergy, or medical needs. Approved bags must not exceed 6” x 8.5” x 6”.
Do you have a paging or PA system to call someone?
We do not have a paging/PA system.
What if I get separated from my child?
It is always a good idea to have a meeting place if any members of your party get separated. If you become separated from your child, you can notify any park associate.
What is Margaritaville at Lanier Islands Water Park's alcoholic beverage policy?
Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park. Alcohol sales are located in various park areas, including Tiki Hut, at LandShark Landing and the License to Chill Bar located on our boardwalk.
Is smoking permitted in the park?
Smoking is permitted within designated areas only- Beach Bar and License to Chill Bar. All other park areas remain smoke (including vapor) and tobacco-free.
Are there lockers for me to store my belongings? Where are they, and what do they cost?
We have lockers in three locations – next to the wave pool, Paradise Beach Rentals adjacent to Paradise Beach Cantina, and LandShark Landing. Prices range from $12-20, depending on the size of the locker.
Do you have a lost & found?
Yes. For lost and found items, see the attendant at the information booth.
Are pets allowed inside the park?
Pets are not permitted inside the Water Park except for service animals. Pets are only allowed in designated areas at LandShark Landing.
Do you have an ATM? Can I get cashback?
No, there are no ATMs available in the park. No outlets offer cashback on debit/ATM cards or checks.
How tall is Blizzard Mountain?
Blizzard Mountain measures 575 feet long and 8 stories high; you'll have to hold on to your feathers as you race down!
What are the height restrictions for Blizzard Mountain?
Blizzard Mountain requires a minimum height of 42" tall to race down—one person per tube.
I have a small child; what is there for them to do?
Our snow play areas are designed for guests of all ages. Amusement rides do vary in height requirements, so please check with an admission attendant on what rides your little one can ride before purchasing your ticket.
What is the cost of a general admission ticket?
You can purchase a Regular Admission ticket for $54.99 per person. This ticket will give you access to unlimited snow tubing, snow play areas, amusement rides, and ice skating. Please visit our ticket page for more ticket options and pricing information.
I have an infant; do they need a ticket to enter?
Children 3 years of age and younger are not required to have a ticket; they are free.
Do you offer group rates on tickets?
Yes! You may purchase License to Chill Snow Island tickets at the group rate of $39.99 when you have a group of 15+. Please visit our ticket page for more information.
Do you offer military discounts?
Yes, we do offer discounted tickets for active and retired military. The discount can only be applied when purchasing tickets in-person at the ticket booth.
What is your refund policy?
All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. Tickets are non-transferable and not changeable.
Can I leave and return to the park on the same day?
Admission to Snow Island is valid for the duration of the day from the time of first entry. To reenter with attraction privileges, you must be wearing your wristband. If your wristband is removed, you will not be able to utilize the attractions until you purchase a new wristband.
Lanier Islands' daily resort access and parking is valid for reentry on the same day of purchase by presenting your parking receipt.
Do I have to pay admission if I am just going to LandShark Landing or LandShark Bar & Grill?
LandShark Landing and LandShark Bar & Grill are free to visit, except for holiday weekends and during special events. On these days, entry is $9.99.
Can I upgrade my daily ticket to a season pass?
Yes! You can upgrade a single-day water park ticket to a season pass at the ticket booth or Bucky's Retail shop. Upgrades must be done on the same day of your visit. You must present your Water Park or Snow Island admission ticket receipt to upgrade.
If it rains, what is your refund policy?
The water park does not issue rain checks or refunds for the inclement weather. It is advisable to view the local forecast prior to your visit. Outdoor attractions may be suspended in the event of heavy rains, high winds, and lightning. If the attractions have been suspended for longer than 90 minutes due to inclement weather, see an admission associate for further information.
Where can I buy alcohol, or can I bring my own?
Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands. If you want to purchase an alcoholic beverage, drinks are available at Tiki Hut, LandShark Landing, and License to Chill.
Where do I park for LandShark Bar & Grill and LandShark Landing
- Once you pass through the front gate of the resort, continue on the main road, Lanier Islands Parkway.
- At the clock tower roundabout, take the second exit (Lanier Islands Parkway) to a set of water features, turn left on Camellia Lane.
- Take the first right and park in the Grand Hall parking lot.
- The steps down to LandShark Landing are towards the rear of the parking lot.
- Veer right towards the bridge over the lake and water park entrance gate.
- Follow the walkway through the gate and around into LandShark Landing and LandShark Bar & Grill.

Do you sell food and drink inside Snow Island?
Yes! You can enjoy a meal or snack at various locations throughout the park.
Glacier Cafe - Glacier Cafe is a great spot to warm up and grab a quick bite with menu items like cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and healthy combos for lunch and dinner. Enjoy hot cocoa, signature cocktails, or your favorite brews while you sit and enjoy the spectacular view from the patio.
Glacier Cafe Bakeshop - Treat yourself to cookies, cake pops, and flavored bark at the bakeshop, or grab your s’mores kit for roasting marshmallows at the firepits.
Tipsy Snowman - In the middle of the carnival action, grab your favorite brew and cocktails or warm up with a hot chocolate or one of our signature warm concoctions. Sweet and salty snacks, popcorn, and cotton candy are also available.
Jack Frost’s Shark Shack - Grab a quick snack to go or sit on the patio and enjoy the view. Shark Shack serves chicken tenders, curly fries, and pretzels in the Snow Hill Area.
Do you have a first aid station?
Yes, the first aid station is staffed with a certified EMT during park hours and is located next to Paradise Beach between Double Down and Splashdown attractions.
How old does my child need to be to go in the park without an adult?
It is recommended that an adult accompany anyone under the age of 16. After 6 PM, an adult must accompany minors under 18.
What if I get separated from my child?
If you become separated from your child, you can notify any park associate or go to the information booth on the beach near the bathrooms at Paradise Beach.
Is smoking permitted inside the park?
Smoking is permitted within designated areas only- Beach Bar and License to Chill Bar. All other areas of the park remain smoke (including vapor) and tobacco-free.
Are pets allowed inside the park?
Aside from service animals, pets are only allowed in designated areas at LandShark Landing.

Are lockers available at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands?
You can store your personal items at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands with lockers next to the wave pool, Paradise Beach Rentals, and LandShark Landing. Prices range from $12-20 depending on the individual size.
How much is Parking?
The Lanier Islands gate fee that includes parking is $20 per vehicle. Season Pass and Annual Pass holders receive complimentary parking with their pass.
If I am dropping my kids off at the park, do I still have to pay for parking?
Vehicles that enter Lanier Islands must pay the $20 resort fee for parking, regardless of the duration of their stay. If you’re a season pass holder, parking is included when you present your season pass card to the attendant.
Is there a shuttle to my car or Camp Margaritaville RV Resort?
Yes, there is a shuttle service between parking lots and Camp Margaritaville RV Resort.
Can I upgrade my ticket to a season pass?
Yes! You can upgrade your daily admission by presenting your itemized receipt at our admission gates.
I lost my season pass card; how do I get a replacement?
You can get a replacement at the Season Pass Center located by Upper Gate. There is a $15 fee for a replacement card.
What is a Pre-K Season Pass?
A Pre-K Season Pass is a FREE combo or summer season pass for 3–5-year-old children for the 2023/2024 season. The Pass must be processed at our Season Pass Center or with guest services with age-confirming documents such as a birth certificate, passport, or green card. The Pre-K Pass does not come with any additional perks or discounts.
Who qualifies for the Pre-K Season Pass?
To qualify for our FREE Pre-K Season Pass when purchasing the Fintastic Combo Pass (winter + summer), the passholder must be three to five years old at the beginning of the winter season (11/4/23) to be eligible. If buying the Summer Fin Pass, the passholder must be three to five years old at the beginning of the summer season (5/4/24) to be eligible.
How many Pre-K Season Passes can I get?
Guests can get one Pre-K Season Pass for every two combo or summer season passes purchased. Passes must be processed in person at our season pass center with age-confirming documents before passes can be used for the season.
What do I need to process my Child's Pre-K Season Pass?
Age-confirming documents include a birth certificate, passport, or green card. Originals, copies, and digital versions are acceptable if they are legible.
Do I need a season pass to get my child a Pre-K Season Pass?
Yes, one Pre-K Pass can only be acquired by purchasing two combo or summer season passes.
Can I have a birthday party at Snow Island?
Yes! If you would like to book a birthday package with Snow Island tickets and food options, please contact our reservations team at 470-323-3440.
Is the gift card digital or an actual card?
Both options are available.
How can gift cards be purchased?
Digital gift cards can be purchased online on our website – physical gift cards can be purchased at any gift shop located in the park.
What items can the gift card be used for?
Food, beverage, and retail items.
Can gift cards be purchased in any denomination?
Yes, you can purchase gift cards in any denomination.
Can a gift card with a message from the sender be sent directly from MVLI to the recipient?
Yes, for digital cards. At the time of purchase it will allow you to put in a recipient's email, and there is also a spot to type a message.
How and where is the gift card redeemed?
Digital gift cards can be redeemed by entering the number at the outlets it's being used for, and physical gift cards are swiped. Gift cards are redeemable at all food, beverage and retail outlets operated by Margaritaville at Lanier Islands and additional participating outlets at Lanier Islands. Other outlets operated by third-party vendors do not accept Margaritaville at Lanier Islands gift cards.
Are there any restrictions?
Gift cards cannot be used for the following: online purchases or reservations; RV or campsite rentals; power or utility payments. Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash, and they are non-refundable.
Can the gift card be used for online purchases?
No, gift cards can only be used inside the park.
If the recipient wants to buy tickets or passes with the gift card, is this possible?
Not at this time.
How long is the gift card valid?
Indefinitely. The gift cards do not expire.
Is there a way to check the balance of a gift card?
Yes, to obtain a gift card balance, visit any participating outlet or call (470) 323-3440.
Can the recipient get cash back with my gift card?
Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash or cash back from a purchase.
What happens if the recipient loses the gift card or it is stolen?
Margaritaville at Lanier Islands is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unauthorized gift card use. Cards should be treated as cash and cannot be replaced.
Do you accept other gift cards?
Margaritaville (brand) gift cards may be used at LandShark Bar & Grill. Lanier Islands gift cards can be redeemed at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands food, beverage and retail locations.
