Yes! We have sunscreen available for purchase at all of our gift shops.
What is the gate fee to enter Lanier Islands Resort?
Lanier Islands Resort charges a $20.00 daily gate and parking fee for every vehicle that visits the resort. Resort access/parking is included with our summer and winter season passes and annual passes.
What date does the park open?
The water park opens on May 14th.

Can I bring my own tent or canopy?
You may bring your own tent or canopy, a max size of 10X10, to use on the beach if it is unobtrusive to other guests and does not interfere with their enjoyment of the park.
What type of payments are accepted at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands?
The Water Park at Margaritaville Lanier Islands is a cashless facility. We accept card payments only using a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or a debit card at all locations, including admission gates, retail stores, and food & beverage outlets. We accept Google and Apple Mobile pay at retail stores and food & beverage outlets (not available at admissions).
If you don’t have a payment card, cash-to-prepaid debit card kiosks are available in the park.

What are the age and height restrictions for the attractions?
Height and age requirements for attractions at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands vary. For specific information regarding each ride, please visit our Water Park page.
Can I swim in the lake at the Water Park or LandShark Landing?
Please note the following changes to our Water Park and LandShark Landing: lake access for swimming is no longer available, but our general beach area will remain open. To learn more about available water activities, please visit our Water Park page.
How many slides do you have?
We have a total of eleven slides and six other attractions! Click here to explore things to do during your Margaritaville visit.
Do you provide tubes for the attractions, or should I bring my own?
All slides requiring tubes have tubes provided at each attraction. Personal floatation devices are not permitted within our water park.
What is the temperature and depth of the water in the Water Park?
The water temperature of the slides and wave pool fluctuate based on the weather condition, meaning the water will naturally adjust according to the climate. As for the water depth, it varies for each attraction. While some areas may have a depth of only a few inches, the Fin Dunker, in particular, reaches a depth of up to eight feet.
I have a small child; What is there for them to do?
Parakeet Springs is an area exclusively designed for children under 48" tall. It features smaller slides, water attractions, and a scaled-down version of our wave pool, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for younger children. For winter amusement, our snow play areas are designed for guests of all ages.

What is the water park water temperature? Depth?
The water temperature fluctuates with the weather; the temperature is not regulated. The water depth varies for each attraction, varying from a few inches to eight feet at the Fin Dunker.
Locker and Rental Services
Are beach chairs available?
With the exception of high-volume days, loungers and sand chairs are provided at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis at Paradise Beach. For those seeking a guaranteed spot, lounge clusters can be rented for $30.00, including two chairs and one umbrella. Guests also have the option to bring their own chairs for added convenience.
Do you rent cabanas/umbrellas?
Large umbrellas are located throughout the park and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If they are all in use, we have smaller umbrellas for a daily rate of $20.
Are lockers available at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands?
You can store your personal items at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands with lockers next to the wave pool, Paradise Beach Rentals, and LandShark Landing. Prices range from $12-20 depending on the individual size.
Ticketing and Admission
What is your cashless policy?
The Water Park at Margaritaville Lanier Islands is a cashless facility. We accept card payments only using a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or a debit card at all locations, including admission gates, retail stores, and food & beverage outlets.
If you only have cash, you can convert it to a prepaid debit card at one of the reverse ATM kiosks at LandShark Landing and the Water Park's Lower Gate wave pool entrance. Please, click here if you would like to learn more about our accepted forms of payment.
If I exit the Water Park, can I re-enter?
Yes, your water park admission is valid for the entire day. Unless your wristband is broken or altered, you may leave and return as you wish.
I have an infant; do they need a ticket to enter?
Children 2 years of age and younger are not required to have a ticket; they are free.
If it rains, what is your refund policy?
The water park does not issue rain checks or refunds for the inclement weather. It is advisable to view the local forecast prior to your visit. Outdoor attractions may be suspended in the event of heavy rains, high winds, and lightning. If the attractions have been suspended for longer than 90 minutes due to inclement weather, see an admission associate for further information.
Do you offer group rates on tickets?
Yes! You may purchase daily water park tickets at the group rate of $33.99 when you have a group of 15+. Please visit our ticket page for more information.
Do I have to pay admission if I am just going to LandShark Landing or LandShark Bar & Grill?
LandShark Landing and LandShark Bar & Grill are free to visit, except for holiday weekends and during special events. On these days, entry is $9.99.

Safety Guidelines and Park Policies
Do you provide life jackets?
Yes, courtesy personal flotation devices (PFD) are available next to the wave pool at our main rentals location. They are first-come, first-served.
Do you have a first aid station?
Yes, the first aid station is staffed with a certified EMT during park hours and is located next to Paradise Beach between Double Down and Splashdown attractions.
How old does my child need to be to go in the park without an adult?
It is recommended that an adult accompany anyone under the age of 16. After 6 PM, an adult must accompany minors under 18.
What if I get separated from my child?
If you become separated from your child, you can notify any park associate or go to the information booth on the beach near the bathrooms at Paradise Beach.
Is smoking permitted inside the park?
Smoking is permitted within designated areas only- Beach Bar and License to Chill Bar. All other areas of the park remain smoke (including vapor) and tobacco-free.
Are pets allowed inside the park?
Aside from service animals, pets are only allowed in designated areas at LandShark Landing.
What procedures do you have in place to keep guests and team members safe?

What are the clothing requirements?
Cut-offs, jewelry, shoes, jeans, denim, and clothing with rivets or metal attachments are prohibited. Some attractions do not allow for loose clothing, such as pants, t-shirts, or cover-ups, for safety reasons. Form-fitting rash guards or swim shirts are recommended instead of these items.

Food and Dining Options
Can I bring my food into the Water Park?
Unless prior approval has been given, no external food or beverage items other than bottled water are permitted inside the Water Park.
*If you have a dietary or medical food requirement that requires you to bring your food, please let our attendant at the gate know, and we will provide you with a designated medical cooler.
Do you sell food and drink inside the park?
Yes! You can enjoy a meal at various locations throughout the park, from Shark Shack to Paradise Beach Cantina, Frank& Lola’s Pizzeria, License to Chill, and LandShark Landing. Smaller snacks are available at Bucky’s Snack Shack and ICEE Oasis.
Where can I buy alcohol, or can I bring my own?
Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands. If you want to purchase an alcoholic beverage, drinks are available at Tiki Hut, LandShark Landing, and License to Chill.
What kind of food does the park have?

Parking and Transportation
Is there a shuttle to my car?
There is a shuttle service for Legacy Lodge hotel guests to various locations around the resort. Margaritaville tram service begins mid-summer.
If I am dropping my kids off at the park, do I still have to pay for parking?
Vehicles that enter Lanier Islands must pay the $20 resort fee for parking, regardless of the duration of their stay. If you’re a season pass holder, parking is included when you present your season pass card to the attendant.
Can I upgrade my ticket to a season pass?
Yes! You can upgrade your daily admission by presenting your itemized receipt at our admission gates.
What is a Pre-K Season Pass?
A Pre-K Season Pass is a FREE season pass for 3–5-year-old children to visit the Water Park for the 2023 summer season. The Pass must be processed at our Season Pass Center or with guest services with age-confirming documents such as a birth certificate, passport, or green card. The Pre-K Pass does not come with any additional perks or discounts.
Who qualifies for the Pre-K Season Pass?
To qualify for our FREE Pre-K Season Pass, children must be 3-5 years old during the 2023 summer season, and process their passes before they turn 6. Pass processing is when the child's picture is taken and the season pass card is printed.
How many Pre-K Season Passes can I get?
Guests can get one Pre-K Season Pass for every two season passes purchased. Passes must be processed in person at our season pass center with age-confirming documents before passes can be used for the season.
What do I need to process my Child's Pre-K Season Pass?
Age-confirming documents include a birth certificate, passport, or green card. Originals, copies, and digital versions are acceptable if they are legible.
Do I need a season pass to get my child a Pre-K Season Pass?
Yes, one Pre-K Season Pass can only be acquired by purchasing two regular season passes.
Gift Card FAQs
Is the gift card digital or an actual card?
Both options are available.
How can gift cards be purchased?
Digital gift cards can be purchased online on our website – physical gift cards can be purchased at any gift shop located in the park.
What items can the gift card be used for?
Food, beverage, and retail items.
Can gift cards be purchased in any denomination?
Yes, you can purchase gift cards in any denomination.
Can a gift card with a message from the sender be sent directly from MVLI to the recipient?
Yes, for digital cards. At the time of purchase it will allow you to put in a recipient's email, and there is also a spot to type a message.
How and where is the gift card redeemed?
Digital gift cards can be redeemed by entering the number at the outlets it's being used for, and physical gift cards are swiped. Gift cards are redeemable at all food, beverage and retail outlets operated by Margaritaville at Lanier Islands and additional participating outlets at Lanier Islands. Other outlets operated by third-party vendors do not accept Margaritaville at Lanier Islands gift cards.
Are there any restrictions?
Gift cards cannot be used for the following: online purchases or reservations; RV or campsite rentals; power or utility payments. Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash, and they are non-refundable.
Can the gift card be used for online purchases?
No, gift cards can only be used inside the park.
If the recipient wants to buy tickets or passes with the gift card, is this possible?
Not at this time.
How long is the gift card valid?
Indefinitely. The gift cards do not expire.
Is there a way to check the balance of a gift card?
Yes, to obtain a gift card balance, visit any participating outlet or call (470) 323-3440.
Can the recipient get cash back with my gift card?
Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash or cash back from a purchase.
What happens if the recipient loses the gift card or it is stolen?
Margaritaville at Lanier Islands is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unauthorized gift card use. Cards should be treated as cash and cannot be replaced.
Do you accept other gift cards?
Margaritaville (brand) gift cards may be used at LandShark Bar & Grill. Lanier Islands gift cards can be redeemed at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands food, beverage and retail locations.
