The water park opens on May 14th.
What are the operating hours?
The Water Park opens at 11 am. Closing times can vary by date. For complete times, visit the hours of operation page.

Park Information
What is your refund policy?
All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. Tickets are non-transferable and not changeable.
What happens if there is bad weather on the day of my visit?
Is it advised that you check the local forecast before your visit.
Providing a safe environment during your visit is our primary concern. Due to the unpredictable nature of the weather and its effect on park safety operations, Margaritaville at Lanier Islands has provided the following policy. For Guest safety and the effectiveness of our lifeguard staff, we may suspend ride operations due to heavy rain or severe weather conditions. Ride operations will resume as soon as the weather clears and conditions are safe. If ride operations are suspended for more than one continuous hour due to weather, a complimentary ticket will be issued to guests who have a receipt for today’s admission and are exiting the park for the day.
To receive a complimentary ticket, please present your wristband and receipt or online proof of purchase to the admission gate located at the entrance as you exit the park. Season Pass, Complimentary & 3rd Party Tickets are not eligible to receive a complimentary ticket. Rain checks may not be issued after ride operations have resumed.
What can I bring inside the water park?
Beach equipment: Although we have umbrellas and cabanas available for rent, you are welcome to bring your own, as our rental supplies are limited. For your convenience, sunglasses, hats, towels, and sunscreen are also for sale at our gift shops. Food/Beverages: No food or beverage items can be brought into the water park other than one unopened bottle of water per person.
Do you rent cabanas/umbrellas?
The large umbrellas located throughout the park are available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, we also have smaller umbrellas and cabanas available for rent at our beach rentals stand located on Paradise Beach by the restrooms.
Can I bring my own tent or canopy?
You may bring your own tent or canopy to use on the beach if it is unobtrusive to other guests and does not interfere with their enjoyment of the park.
Are there beach chairs available at the water park? What is the charge?
We have lounge chairs and sand chairs available on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge. On busier days, guests may want to bring in their own chairs.
Can I bring my own tube/float?
Personal tubes and flotation devices may only be used in the lake. They may not be used in the wave pool or on any of the slides.
Can I bring a stroller?
Yes, strollers are welcome in the water park. There is fun for the entire family!
Can I bring a cooler?
No, coolers or insulated bags are permitted in the park unless for specific baby, allergy, or medical needs. Approved bags must not exceed 6” x 8.5” x 6”.
Can I bring a picnic lunch to the water park?
No outside food or drinks are allowed in the park unless for specific baby, allergy, or medical needs. If you wish to bring a picnic lunch, you may leave it in your vehicle and enjoy it outside the Water Park gates.
Do you sell food/drink inside the park?
Yes! You can enjoy a meal at various locations throughout the park from Shark Shack to Paradise Beach Cantina, Frank & Lola's Pizzeria, License to Chill, and LandShark Landing. We also have smaller concessions, including Bucky's Snack Shack and Sid’s Tropical Refresher, that provide snacks such as popcorn, pretzels, and more.
What is Margaritaville at Lanier Islands Water Park's alcoholic beverage policy?
Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park. Alcohol sales are located in various park areas, including Tiki Hut, at LandShark Landing and the License to Chill Bar located on our boardwalk.
Is smoking permitted in the park?
Smoking is permitted within designated areas only – Beach Bar at Landshark Landing and License to Chill Bar. All other areas of the park remain smoke (including vapor) and tobacco-free.
Are pets allowed inside the park?
Pets are not permitted inside the Water Park except for service animals. Pets are only allowed in designated areas at LandShark Landing.
Do you have an atm? Can I get cashback?
No, there are no ATMs available in the park. No outlets offer cashback on debit/ATM cards or checks.
Are there lockers for me to store my belongings? Where are they, and what do they cost?
We have lockers in three locations – next to the wave pool, Paradise Beach Rentals adjacent to Paradise Beach Cantina, and LandShark Landing. Prices range from $12-20, depending on the size of the locker.
Does Margaritaville at Lanier Islands Water Park provide towels?
Complimentary towels are not provided, so we recommend guests bring their own. LandShark Surf Shack and Bucky’s Retail shops do offer towels for purchase.
Do you have a lost & found?
Yes. For lost and found items, see the attendant at the information booth.
Do you have a paging or PA system to call someone?
We do not have a paging/PA system.
What if I get separated from my child?
It is always a good idea to have a meeting place if any members of your party get separated. If you become separated from your child, you can notify any park associate.
Do you have wireless internet access inside the water park?
Wireless internet access is available in most areas of the Water Park. Please use the IslandsGuest network.
Do you have a first aid station?
Yes. First Aid is located next to Paradise Beach between Splash Down and Racing Waters attractions. It is staffed during park hours with a certified EMT.
Attractions
How many slides do you have?
We have ten (10) water slides and ten (10) other attractions/areas. For more details on the types of slides we have, please visit here.
What are the age and height restrictions for the attractions?
You must be at least 42" tall to ride most of the water attractions in the Water Park. You must be 48" to ride the Fin Dunker, Cat4, the Aquatic Adventure (Wibit™), and the zip line. The. Zipline also has a weight limit of 50 to 250lbs. Fun Zone is a designated pool for younger children. Guests must be under 48" tall to play in this area– the only exception being someone directly accompanying a child.
I have a small child; what is there for them to do?
Our Fun Zone area is designed exclusively for children under 48” tall. There are smaller slides and water attractions along with a small version of our wave pool located in this area. For safety concerns, children in this area must be smaller than 48” tall. The beach/lake, wave pool, and foam parties also have no height requirements and are suitable for children of all ages.
What is the water temperature? Depth?
The water temperature fluctuates with the weather; the temperature is not regulated. The water depth varies for each attraction, varying from a few inches to eight feet at the Fin Dunker.
Can I wear jeans, shorts, shoes, jewelry, t-shirts, etc., on the rides?
Cut-offs (frayed clothing), jeans/denim, jewelry, and shoes are not permitted on rides. Clothing with rivets or metal attachments are also not allowed. Some attractions do not allow for loose clothing, such as pants, t-shirts, or cover-ups, for safety reasons. Form-fitting rash guards or swim shirts are recommended in lieu of these items.
Do you provide life jackets?
Yes, courtesy personal floatation devices (PFD) are available next to the wave pool and the Fun Zone. They are first-come, first-served.
Do you provide tubes for the rides? How much do they cost?
All of the slides that require tubes are provided at each respective attraction. Tubes are also available to rent if you’d prefer to keep a tube with you all day and to use in the lake or wave pool. The tubes provided at attractions are subject to availability, so renting a tube would avoid waiting for one.
Pricing & Admission
What methods of payment do you accept?
Margaritaville at Lanier Islands accepts payment in cash, credit (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), and Apple Pay at most venues.’
What does my water park admission ticket include?
Your ticket includes access to water slides, attractions, wave pool, Paradise and LandShark Landing beach, mini-golf, and foam parties.
Can I upgrade my daily ticket to a season pass?
Yes! You can upgrade a single-day water park ticket to a season pass at the ticket booth or Bucky's Retail shop. Upgrades must be done on the same day of your visit. You must present your Water Park admission ticket receipt to upgrade.
I have an infant; do they need to have a ticket?
Children 2 years of age and younger are not required to have a ticket; they are free.
Do you offer a non-ride discounted ticket?
No, Margaritaville at Lanier Islands Water Park is a pay-one-price facility. Because of the breadth of recreation offered for all ages, Margaritaville at Lanier Islands maintains the pay-one-price policy for all guests to enjoy the rides, beach, wave pools, and other attractions.
Do you offer military discounts?
Yes, we do offer discounted tickets for active and retired military. The discount can only be applied when purchasing tickets in-person at the ticket booth.
Is there a discount on group tickets?
Yes, we do offer a discount on groups 15+. Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket booth.
Do you offer rain checks?
Providing a safe environment during your visit is our primary concern. Due to the unpredictable nature of the weather and its effect on park safety operations, Margaritaville at Lanier Islands has posted the following weather procedures for our guests' knowledge. For Guest safety and the effectiveness of our lifeguard staff, we may suspend ride operations due to heavy rain or severe weather conditions. Ride operations will resume as soon as the weather clears and conditions are safe for playtime again. If ride operations are suspended for more than one continuous hour due to weather, a complimentary ticket will be issued to Guests who have a receipt for today's admission and are exiting the park for the day.
How much is Parking?
Parking is $20 per vehicle. Season Pass and Annual Pass holders receive complimentary parking with their pass.
If I’m dropping my kids off at the park, do I still have to pay for parking?
Every vehicle that enters Lanier Islands must pay the resort fee for parking, regardless of the duration of your stay.
If I exit the park, can I reenter?
Yes. Your Water Park admission is valid for the remainder of the day after you enter. Keep your wristband on for the day to reenter and utilize the attractions. Wristbands must be worn to be valid for use. Altered, broken, or unworn wristbands are not valid.
I lost my season pass card; how do I get a replacement?
You can get a replacement at the Season Pass Center located by Upper Gate. There is a $15 fee for a replacement card.
Gift Card FAQs
Is the gift card digital or an actual card?
Both options are available.
How can gift cards be purchased?
Digital gift cards can be purchased online on our website – physical gift cards can be purchased at any gift shop located in the park.
What items can the gift card be used for?
Food, beverage, and retail items.
Can gift cards be purchased in any denomination?
Yes, you can purchase gift cards in any denomination.
Can a gift card with a message from the sender be sent directly from MVLI to the recipient?
Yes, for digital cards. At the time of purchase it will allow you to put in a recipient's email, and there is also a spot to type a message.
How and where is the gift card redeemed?
Digital gift cards can be redeemed by entering the number at the outlets it's being used for, and physical gift cards are swiped. Gift cards are redeemable at all food, beverage and retail outlets operated by Margaritaville at Lanier Islands and additional participating outlets at Lanier Islands. Other outlets operated by third-party vendors do not accept Margaritaville at Lanier Islands gift cards.
Are there any restrictions?
Gift cards cannot be used for the following: online purchases or reservations; RV or campsite rentals; power or utility payments. Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash, and they are non-refundable.
Can the gift card be used for online purchases?
No, gift cards can only be used inside the park.
If the recipient wants to buy tickets or passes with the gift card, is this possible?
Not at this time.
How long is the gift card valid?
Indefinitely. The gift cards do not expire.
Is there a way to check the balance of a gift card?
Yes, to obtain a gift card balance, visit any participating outlet or call (470) 323-3440.
Can the recipient get cash back with my gift card?
Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash or cash back from a purchase.
What happens if the recipient loses the gift card or it is stolen?
Margaritaville at Lanier Islands is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unauthorized gift card use. Cards should be treated as cash and cannot be replaced.
Do you accept other gift cards?
Margaritaville (brand) gift cards may be used at LandShark Bar & Grill. Lanier Islands gift cards can be redeemed at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands food, beverage and retail locations.
