Tom Faust

VICE PRESIDENT, SALES & MARKETING

A recognized hotel industry veteran, Tom Faust, now the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the new Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston, joined BENCHMARK, a Global Hospitality Company, as Vice President of Sales on February 29, 2016. Previously Tom was with Omni Hotels & Resorts for nine years as Vice President, Sales.  In his leadership role, Faust was responsible for creating and directing revenue generating strategies across for the entire luxury hotel brand.  Prior to joining Omni, Faust spent eight years at the Anatole in Dallas under both the Wyndham and Hilton flags. Prior to that he also spent 18 years with Sheraton and Starwood Hotels, in a variety of operations, marketing and sales roles at both the corporate and field level.   

Faust also has served on the MPI Foundation Board, Executive Board of Governors of the University of North Texas Hospitality School, and The Board of Directors of the ATT Cotton Bowl. 

Suzanne Premo

DIRECTOR OF SALES

Suzanne Premo joins Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston with over twenty-five years of experience in the hospitality industry.  Most recently, Suzanne held the Director of Catering and Conference Planning positions at The Woodlands Resort, Biltmore Estate in Asheville NC, Hyatt Regency Orange County, CA and Hyatt Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. 

After graduating from Purdue University with a dual degree in hospitality and club management, Suzanne joined Hyatt Hotels for sixteen years growing her knowledge from a corporate management trainee up through operations and into the Sales arenas. Suzanne has a true love for hospitality and the partnerships that are needed to cultivate successful event experiences.   

Suzanne grew up on Lake Ontario in upstate NY and has a love for boating and water.  She lived in Tokyo, Japan from age ten to fourteen, which helped broaden her horizons on cultures, food and people. Suzanne enjoys the simple things in life on her time off, along with good food and wine!

Jo Smith

SENIOR SALES MANAGER

Jo returns to the Benchmark family after 15 years as the senior sales manager with The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center.  During her tenure with The Woodlands she managed the highest producing account as well as other vertical and geographical markets in Texas, the Midwest and the western United States.  Prior to joining The Woodlands Resort, Jo was the Director of Sales at Del Lago Resort, a Benchmark managed property (and now Margaritaville) for 17 years.   

A native Texan, raised in the North Dallas area, Jo earned a marketing degree from Texas Tech University and has been a resident of the Lake Conroe area for over 30 years.     

Jo is a United States Congressional advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Houston & Southeast Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.  She has one adult son and enjoys riding Harley Davidson motorcycles in Texas and all over the U.S.

Jessica Thornbrough

SENIOR SALES MANAGER

Jessica joined the Benchmark family as a Senior Sales Manager in Summer 2019 after 6 years with La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa.  Throughout her 10 years in the hospitality industry, Jessica has proudly worked in various sales and catering roles and most recently held the position of Senior Catering Sales Manager.   

A true “local”, Jessica was born and raised in Montgomery County, Texas. She currently resides with her family in Conroe, Texas and enjoys crafting, baking and spending any spare time outdoors.

Dustin Mathews

SALES MANAGER

Dustin joins the Benchmark family most recently from The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa.  Through his 19 years in the hospitality industry, he spent his first 15 on the operations side, working various roles in Banquets, Audio Visual, Hotel F&B Outlets, Free-Standing Restaurants and PGA Golf properties.  The last 4 years have been on the Sales side, where he is able to use his diverse background to ensure that his client’s needs and expectations are always met.  

Dustin is married to his high school sweetheart and they have two young children. He and his wife love the live music scene, cooking, traveling and making fun experiences for their children. 

Kenna Feuge

DIRECTOR OF EVENTS & CONFERENCE SERVICES

Kenna is a proud graduate from Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management at University of Houston, and has over 20 years of dedicated service in the hospitality industry. Most of those years were proudly spent at this very property, before it became a Margaritaville Lake Resort.

Kenna is blessed to be a mom of an incredible teenage daughter, who currently attends Montgomery High School. Kenna is passionate about living life to the fullest, while laughing and creating fun memories along the way. This is what makes her an extra special event planner.
