What to Know Before You Arrive with Your Dog

Here is everything you need to know about our dog friendly hotel policy at Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe. Please read through before your arrival so your stay goes smoothly from the moment you check in.

• Upon check-in, all guests traveling with a dog will need to sign our Guest Acknowledgement of Pet Policy.
• Dogs Only: Our pet policy covers dogs only. Other animals are not permitted.
• Weight Limit: We welcome dogs up to 30 lbs.
• Pet Limit: Up to 2 dogs per room.
• Pet Fee: A daily fee of $75 per dog will be added to your reservation at check-in.
• Security Deposit: A refundable $75 daily deposit is required. This is returned to you at checkout provided there are no damages or noise complaints during your stay.
• Leash Policy: Dogs must be fully trained, leashed, and under the control of their owner at all times while on the resort property.
• No Unattended Pets: Dogs may not be left alone in guest rooms at any time during your stay.
• Pool and Water Features: Pets are not permitted in the pool or any other water features on the property.
• Restaurant Areas: Dogs are not allowed inside any of the resort restaurants.
• Emergency Contact: Please provide your contact details at check-in so we can reach you quickly if needed.
• Owner Responsibility: Owners are fully responsible for any damages, noise complaints, or injuries caused by their dog during the stay.
• Housekeeping: Please arrange for your dog to be out of the room during housekeeping visits. Our team will work with you to find a convenient time.

Service Animals at Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe

Service animals are always welcome at Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe. Please let our front desk team know upon arrival that you will have a service animal staying in your room. This helps our team make the proper notes for emergency and evacuation procedures.

• We reserve the right to ask that a service animal be removed from the premises if the animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to address it, or if the animal is not housebroken. If removal is required, you are still welcome to remain as a guest and our team will provide a list of nearby boarding facilities.
• Guests are financially responsible for any damages caused by their service animal during the stay.
• Service animals must remain with their handler at all times and cannot be left unattended in the guest room.
• Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered while on the property, unless these devices interfere with the animal's work or the handler's disability prevents their use. In those situations, the handler must maintain control through voice commands, hand signals, or other effective means.
