When will the resort open?
The resort is all set to sparkle during the holidays! You can now book your stay from December 14, 2023, and we'll keep you posted if we have some exciting news about earlier check-in options. Get ready to celebrate the season in style!
When will Fins Up! Beach Club open?
Fins Up! Beach Club is almost ready to make a splash, but we're not quite there yet! We can't wait to welcome resort guests and day pass visitors starting in mid-January 2024. Keep your eyes on our website for updates, or dive into our Facebook page for the latest news. Don't let the delay put a damper on your vacation plans if you're arriving before mid-January. We've got something to keep you afloat – enjoy complimentary beach chairs, a table, and an umbrella. Plus, we've given your Resort Fee a little vacation of its own!
Can I buy a day pass to Fins Up! Beach Club if I'm not a resort guest?
We’re rolling out the sandy carpet for all you beach lovers out there. Hoping to dip your toes in for the day? No problem! Fins Up! Beach Club Day Passes are your golden ticket to paradise, and they will be up for grabs every single day of the year. Just like the ebb and flow of the tide, our inventory and pricing will vary based on the resort's occupancy and the day of the week. Day Passes will be available for purchase on our website starting January 2024. Will you be offering Discounts to local residents?
For all you beachcombers sharing our one-of-a-kind zip code (33931), there’s a discount that’s as unique as your postal digits – 25% off food and beverage, Fins Up! Is the resort smoke-free?
We won't often say no during your trip to Paradise but the resort is fully smoke-free, including outdoor areas affiliated with Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach. This includes the Fins Up! Beach Club, the Sunset Terrace, and outdoor dining areas. Guests who violate the smoke-free policy will be charged a minimum of $250 and be asked to leave the resort premises. Smoke-free includes vaping, cigarettes, cigars, and other paraphernalia.
Can I park at the resort?
Covered valet parking is offered for a fee of $35 per night plus tax. Day parking is also available to both locals and non-resort guests for an hourly fee:
- 0-3 hours - $10
- Day Parking up to 8 hours - $25
- Overnight Parking - $35
- After 5 pm complimentary with a $50 Food and Beverage receipt (excluding tax and gratuity)
Is Fins Up! Beach Club open to the public?
Fins Up! Beach Club is open to registered guests and day pass holders. Day passes will be made available for purchase beginning January 2024.
What is the dress attire at the resort?
Laid back isn't just a state of mind, it’s a style too! Resort casual is appropriate and encouraged. On the Sunset Terrace, in the lobby, and in the restaurants, guests should plan to wear coverups, tops, and bottoms, and pool attire is welcomed at Fins Up! Beach Club.
When is check-in / check-out?
Check-in is 4:00pm and check-out is 11:00am.
Is there a deposit required to reserve a room?
Reservations must be guaranteed with credit card at time of booking and a one night deposit of room and tax will be collected at the time of booking. Deposit is refundable until 14 days prior to arrival. Guests who cancel within 14 days of arrival will forfeit the deposit of one night room and tax.
What is the resort room cancellation policy?
Guests must cancel 14 days prior to arrival to avoid a penalty charge of 1 night room and tax. Guests that fail to arrive on their expected arrival date will forfeit their 1 night deposit and the reservation will be cancelled for the rest of their stay.
What happens if I leave earlier than my reserved departure date?
Guests who depart earlier than expected will be charged a minimum of one night's room and tax.
Is it possible to arrive before check-in?
Due to the popularity of the resort, early check-in may not be possible. However, we can store your bags and invite you to enjoy the resort's amenities until your room is ready.
What if I would like to check-out later than 11:00am?
Late check-outs are on request only and should be made to our Guest Service Team. Any check-outs granted past 11:00am through 2:00pm will be charged a $25.00 hourly fee and requests past 2:00pm will be charged the full rate of the day.
How many guests can I have in my room?
King rooms are for two guests, Double Queen rooms are for up to four guests, and Suites are for up to six guests. All guests must be registered and will be given a wristband for access to the resort.
Is there a hold on my credit card for incidental charges?
A daily authorization of $100 will be held on your credit card for incidental charges.
Is there an age minimum for reserving a room and for check-in?
The minimum age to reserve a room and for check-in is 21.
How many wristbands is my room type eligible for?
There will be up to 2 wristbands issued for King rooms, up to 4 wristbands issued for Two Queen rooms and up to 6 wristbands for Suites.
Are pets welcome?
We are happy to welcome your traveling canine companions. To participate in the pet program, please inform the front desk at least three days prior to arrival so we can set up a pet-tacular experience for you. The pet needs to be under 75 pounds and a one time cleaning fee will be assessed during your stay for cleaning.
Do pets need to be leashed?
Pets should be leashed during their visit to Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach.
Can I leave my pet in my room unattended?
Pets may be left in their room as long as the animal is settled and quiet. The owner will provide a cell phone number in order to locate guest in event of an emergency.
Can I bring my pet to Fins Up! Beach Club or Sunset Terrace?
We'd love to say yes, but regret that pets are not allowed in the food and beverage outlets, health club, or pool areas of the hotel. Service animals are an exception to this policy.
My pet may be noisy, is that an issue?
For the comfort of your pet, yourselves, and other guests its encouraged that pets who are loud or noisy (barking) not be left alone while at the resort. Should a pet become disruptive to the vibe and energy of the resort, the noise policy may be enforced.
Do I receive housekeeping if I have a pet in my room?
Room attendants will enter guest rooms with pets only when the registered guest is present. This is as much for the pets comfort as the room attendant. For your convenience, please call housekeeping to arrange a suitable time to have your room serviced.
Where do I walk my pet?
Dogs must be walked/curbed outside the resort and local ordinances should be followed.
What should I expect for a visit to Fins Up! Beach Club?
Resort guests can enjoy the action-packed oasis Fins! Up Beach Club located on the Gulf of Mexico from 9:00am till one hour past sunset. An expansive sundeck surrounds the lagoon pool overlooking the sand and Gulf with seating areas throughout to enjoy sunshine and blues. Cabanas and premium reserved seating are available for rent. Soak up the rays grooving to the sound of live and programmed entertainment or indulge in a frozen concoction with your toes in the sand. Wristbands are provided upon check-in to registered resort guests only and must be worn to access and enjoy the amenities at Fins Up! Beach Club. The number of wristbands directly correlates to the room type guests reserve. The Fins Up! Beach Club day passes will be available for purchase January 2024. To ensure a relaxed and fun environment there are a few house rules: no outside food and beverage is permitted; no personal amplified music systems; smoking is prohibited and the last house rule is fun should be had by all.
Are bicycle rentals available?
Bike rentals are available for guests to enjoy during their visit to Fort Myers Beach.
Are golf carts available for rent?
Cruise the island with your own golf cart available for rent through the resort valet.
Does the resort offer water sports?
A day of fun in the sun calls for jet skis, paddle boards, kayaks, parasailing, and more water sport rentals which are available directly in front of the resort in the sand on the Gulf of Mexico.
What amenities are open to the public?
Locals and non-resort guests are welcome to visit St. Somewhere Spa, Live Like a Song retail shop, Coconut Telegraph Coffee Shop, License to Chill Bar & Grill on the Sunset Terrace, JWB Grill, and Lah De Dah Bar & Grill.
How long does the wristband work for at Fins Up! Beach Club?
Your wristband at Fins Up! Beach Club is valid until 5:00 PM on the day of your check-out. This means you can enjoy access to our amenities and services until 5:00 PM on the day you are scheduled to leave. We hope you make the most of your stay with us!
What size celebration is ideal?
Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach celebrations can range in size from intimate gatherings to events with up to 150 attendees.
Does the resort require a wedding planner?
Your wedding is one of the most special days of your life and we're excited for you to kick off married life in paradise. To help you create the wedding of your dreams, we do require the use of a professional wedding planner to ensure a successful celebration. The resort will provide a list of preferred planners who are familiar with our facility for your consideration. Your professional wedding planner will work with our event team to ensure a successful event.
What is your weather contingency plan?
Celebrations planned outdoors provide a beautiful backdrop on the Gulf of Mexico. As weather can be unpredictable and out of everyone's control, all outdoor venue bookings also require backup space in the Compass Rose Ballroom or a tent on the Sunset Terrace. Should weather be a concern, the resort will determine six hours prior to the start of your first booked event if the celebration needs to be moved indoors.
What is the price for Celebration packages?
Wedding package pricing begins at $200.00 per person, plus tax (6.5%) and service charge (25%). The pricing is exclusive of rental fees. Our catering team will provide seasonal menus along with full package details and offerings allowing you to select the option most ideal for your event.
What is the rental fee? What does it include?
Rental fees are negotiated based upon the venues selected for your event. Rental fees begin at $2,500.00 and are subject to tax and service charge.
Does food and beverage need to be provided by the resort or can outside caterers be utilized?
All food and beverage will be provided by the dynamic culinary team at Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach.
Do you recommend preferred vendors?
Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach will provide a list of preferred vendors for florals, entertainment, photographers, officiants, transportation, etc. whom you are encouraged to utilize for your event due to their experience and firsthand knowledge of the resort.
Can sparklers or fireworks be used during our event?
Everyone loves sparkle and a booming celebration, but open flames are not permitted. We can recommend lighting experts who can use visual effects to create fun themes for your event.
Can the venue accommodate a live band or DJ?
At Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach, the music and groove are a huge part of our days and nights. The resort event space is ideal for a DJ and / or a small sized band. There are local ordinances about sound amplification and outdoor music that we abide by.
Are there changing areas for the wedding party?
Wedding parties are encouraged to book their accommodations to include the night prior to your celebration to ensure they have space to dress for the wedding. The resort does not offer a wedding ready room for celebrations.
Are there any noise restrictions?
The resort operates within the local ordinances of Lee County and the Town of Fort Myers Beach. Outdoor music or amplified noise on the Sunset Terrace music is permitted until one hour past sunset or 9:00pm (whichever is earliest).
Is there valet parking?
The resort offers only valet parking. Overnight valet parking is $35 per day.
Non-guests and beach goers are welcome to park at the resort at the following rates:

What is being done to ensure cleanliness and safety within the resort?
The resort utilizes cleaning products and protocols that meet EPA guidelines and are proven effective against viruses, bacteria, and other airborne pathogens.
Does the resort offer contactless hand sanitizer?
Contactless hand sanitizing stations are installed throughout the resort for the added health and safety of our guests and team members.
Has Hurricane Ian impacted access to Fort Myers Beach?
